Do You Love a Challenge?

Great news! Because PTNY’s Board of Directors believes so passionately in our work to protect, improve and advocate for parks and trails, they have come together to issue a year-end challenge to all of our supporters. They’ve pledged to match dollar for dollar all donations made through the end of the year up to $30,000!

That means your gift to Parks & Trails New York will go twice as far this season.

Please, double your investment and help us:

  • Bring the collective voices of park supporters to Albany to ensure the historic revitalization of our state parks continues, with at least another $90 million in this year’s budget for critical, on-the-ground projects.
  • Protect and improve parks and trails by strengthening and empowering partner grassroots groups through a new half a million dollar competitive grants program and by delivering assistance and guidance at critical points in time.
  • Work with communities across the state to create more trails, safer sidewalks, and a network of bike paths for a healthier, greener New York.
  • Close the Gaps in the Erie Canalway Trail and make it the longest trail of its kind in the country–only 72 miles to go!
  • Inspire stewardship by marshaling thousands of volunteers to help clean up and beautify parks and trails through statewide events like I Love My Park Day and Canal Clean Sweep.

New York is rich with beautiful parks and trails and we want to keep it that way!

Match-action-button.jpgParks and trails add so much to our lives. Whether it’s a lunchtime stroll in a city park, a weekend bike ride with friends on a local rail trail, a scenic hike through one of our spectacular state parks, or a family ski trip to the Adirondacks - parks and trails provide a wealth of recreational opportunities as well as the chance to connect with friends and family in the great outdoors.

Parks and Trails New York is the only statewide organization working to protect, improve and advocate for parks and trails across New York and we need your help!

We can’t afford to take our parks and trails for granted. Their care requires ongoing vigilance, investment, and energy. With many demands on our state’s resources, priorities could shift and parks and trails could lose out if we don’t fight for them.

Make a generous year-end donation and your gift will go twice as far to protect the parks and trails you love.

Thank you!
